Before anyone tries to negotiate with these criteria, you have to understand that many of my friends are job-hunting right now and I've been trying to help, but there's so much bullshit (AI especially) that it's nauseating.
I'm tempted to make a tech-related job board, with the following criteria:
- No AI
- No blockchain
- Every job must allow 100% remote as an option
- Compensation must be fully transparent
Unfortunately, I feel like it would, on most days, be empty. Too many tech companies are up to some bullshit.

Yes it’s:
The slop
The theft
The brainrot
The loss of work
The crumbling of creator rights
The destroying of the environment and infrastructure
But it's also the destroying of trust in anything that you’re not seeing with your own eyes right in front of you.
Wonder now turned to the narrowing of eyes in immediate scepticism seeing something magical.
Questioning the realness of everything from a stilted written apology to profound works by students in school.
It feels like a slow poison to creativity and humanity at large.

To clarify, and I guess reposting for the morning crowd, I wish I was extroverted, or just less introverted.
I feel like an introvert charading as an extrovert and I dislike it.
I very much enjoy hosting events, going to events, cons, and the like, but I just can't sustain the energy to remain social and I sorely wish I could.
I feel bad when I can't keep up on conversation because I've run out of go.

No. The Thing is a movie about a bunch of people who all distrust and hate each other trapped in one building as the tension between them slowly builds until it reaches a breaking point. It's a Thanksgiving movie.
