I see an extremely shallow person who doesn't understand anything about immigration.

It's how they dealt with their enemies. The Scythians were thus highly regarded in the Ancient World

I posted earlier that I was free of it, but I was wrong. Still trying though

I'm becoming aware that even if you don't actively maintain an account with Spotify as an artist, they may still host some of your music without your permission. Apparently grift is the bottom line w/Daniel Ek

Spotify is now running recruitment ads for ICE.

It’s time to cancel your account.

Oof yeah I can't listen to that, if it's as bad as you say. I'm becoming acutely aware of what parts of what songs I already have in my collection that have tinnitus-inducing pitches

It stands to reason that the tech 'giants' have no issue with a surveillance state because that's how their services operate, and they're doubling down on intel gathering on their users and others with AI etc.

Hard to find an AI large language model that isn't beholden to this fascist administration. Is there one? This is/soon will be a method of mass govt surveillance & gatekeeping.

Even Musk's AI MechaHitler has a Pentagon contract now:

I don't know, lol! I had to be at work super early today and it was taking so long to cook that I made something else to eat. I had to wrap it up and refrigerate it so I'll report back later 😂

This butternut karma is really putting my little rice cooker to the test tonight
A tiny Dash rice cooker filled to the lid with boiling butternut karma

Ah, that's why mine turned out dry this weekend

I finished reading this over the weekend, had it for a year but I've wanted to read it in October. Juxtaposing the present day with history that comes together in the end, with a good creepy atmosphere throughout. Still thinking about many parts of it now...

The Dark Between the Trees
This striking and highly original debut is so much more than a ‘creature in the woods’ novel…

The angriest word in the English language is "representative" spoken to an automated phone menu.

This guys problem was he didn't introduce a resolution to give "someone" a fake Nobel Peace Prize

Also, what about everything that's already happened? Are the Israelis going to let food and supplies in now? They're not actively bombing/shooting, great, but people are still starving.

Some days I just like to have a plate of cheese (usually gouda) and crackers with a sunny-side up egg, vegan sausage, sliced tomato and olives. Simple go-to meal.

Got my Covid/flu boosters today at CVS, no muss no fuss. Walked in then booked the appointment. Thank you to all the Bskyers who said it was that easy, it was!

Discogs feels like that dirty, weird record store in town that you are 100% certain is a front for money laundering, and I love that about it

Ever read Peter Watts' "Blindsight"? It was the genesis of those convos, and it's a brilliant analysis of neurology, perception, and the human condition

Um, wait - who passed? All the guys from Sexy Beast (including Glazer) are still alive?
subterrene.bsky.social
Yeah I'm a big fan of Glazer's first movie Sexy Beast, and Under the Skin. Birth was intense, but just OK, imo. Haven't seen The Zone of Interest, I would have to steel myself for that one
