He died the same year Scarlet Spider was in Spider-Verse. They had to crowdfund his funeral.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:

Great thread. And a key point: the transphobia of today is very similar to the homophobia I saw growing up.
Something I'd like to address. There's this idea that TQ+ folk are all 21 year-old art students... and all the 'normal' old school folk are LGB and entirely left behind and confused by 'pronouns'...

ah, yeah, I go back to August in the bandwidth log and holy crap, we got scraped for 77gb of data over a four-day period in the forum.
AI scraping is killing sites.
So I just put the forum into "you must be logged in to read" mode, which I hate doing.
Will watch bandwidth from there.

I'm definitely going to change the plan. Looking at last month, the forum did 14gb of traffic, but I'm on a 75gb max plan. Which I suspect I got upgraded to years ago because of scraping.
The 25gb bronze plan should be enough.
