I love when this stuff comes up every once in a while to remind people just how much nobody in corporate/studio wants you to own anything.
This was an easy bullshit thing you could see a mile away. Just like crypto, just like NFT, and just like the push for current genai and other LLM projects.

I see this discourse come up every couple of years, and it’s always an absolute delight to watch it unfold.
17 years at Adobe prior to this, and at least half a dozen border directors positions as well. Yeah, this sounds like someone who doesn’t know how to actually live life outside of work.

With video file sizes getting larger and larger, it's worth doing the maintenance. And it's fun to revisit things you may not have seen in some time.
