I remember there was so much discourse about the new idol themed Precure show and American fans complaining it was going to idealize their idol industry like American movies and shows don’t do the same thing with Hollywood and the idol aspect has been barely that much of a focus beyond aesthetics

I think the issue is it’s Danny Effman. I liked his work on Nightmare Before Christmas but most of his animated musical scores tend to be pretty forgettable.
