The hardware 100% does not matter.

I've seen a wide range of people with good and bad hardware have strange performance drops on an ongoing basis, plus the occasional person not notice.

I have a 5070 TI and I've seen it drop from 144 to 60ish without much happening.

On console the game is locked to 30.

On console 'and' PC the game is not very stable.

It's possible the framerate jumping around was messing with your eyes and causing motion sickness.
