while i often complain about a tendency to IGNORE vote suppression in favor of what i think of as "conspiracy nonsense", this is a genuinely interesting story and i'm curious as to how it will play out - republicans (voters and electeds) will cheat whenever possible - that's just how they are.

The media and entertainment industry is already highly consolidated. I have serious concerns about acquisitions in this sector that could further limit consumer choice, raise prices, and harm artists. We need more competition—in streaming and across the broader economy—not less.

i don't say this lightly but i hope people realize that if the response to SCOTUS overturning roe-v-wade (or hillary clinton not going to the white house after winning the popular vote a few years earlier) had been months of civil unrest (protests, strikes, etc) it would have stopped conservatives
