Major news outlets are standing together and refusing to sign. ABC News, CBS News, CNN, Fox News, and NBC News have all rejected a new Pentagon policy that would impose unprecedented restrictions on news gathering.

I paid for a shingles vaccine in the end because I had it at least once a year from 50. In my case it was a shingles patch but the associated symptoms got more severe each time. Finding out about the potential Alzheimer’s protection is a massive bonus!

The Times front page from exactly 11 years ago. Those Tory reforms wasted £50B over a decade and ushered in the greatest assault on public health in NHS history. Experts warned them. They refused to listen. That’s why the Tories are done. Labour should take note.

I see that this small-minded puritanical pixie is laser-focused on getting the government reopened and the troops paid.

This young man has just been on the news.

He’s right, CPR should be taught in Scotland’s schools. There’s a HWB outcome for it. If you look in enough cupboards you’ll probably find practice dummies. British Heart Foundation has resources.

He suggests 1 PE lesson. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Could I have saved my parents' lives if I'd been taught CPR?
Cameron McGerr lost both his parents and is campaigning to have life-saving first aid taught in schools.

The Portland Frog army has now infiltrated Tulsa, OK and they’ve made an unlikely alliance with the T-Rex infantry and Sharks on Hoverboards mercenary forces.

This is truly terrifying.

Yes #WeWantPockets My dress for the wedding is having one added as we speak.

We also want functional pockets! I’ve spent several hours today checking donated clothing and my hand totally disappears wrist deep into men’s pockets but not women’s. No use for phones!

'Girls need to carry things too!': How women's pockets became so controversial
Why do men's clothes have so many pockets, and women's so few? For centuries, the humble pocket has been a flashpoint in the gender divide of fashion. Is that finally set to change?

It's B2. They probably used A-level because most people in the UK wouldn't have a clue what the B2 means.

Here's my booking email.

Thanks, that's great

What's the purpose of your stay?

Work mostly.

Ok, can you tell me why you think the character of Curleys wife is intrinsic to the wider narrative points in Steinbecks 'Of Mice and Men'.

A Frenchman once said to me, after I spoke to him in French, that it's most unusual for Brits to have any language skills at all...
This is how he described it to me:
Speaks multiple languages = Polyglot
Speaks two languages = Bilingual
Speak only one language = British 😜

Ideally they should have a Functional Skills English qualification. Much more useful, and the content is better aligned with practical life / work needs.

Indeed I reckon many British people would struggle to get a really good pass in the Cambridge first certificate exam
