Hello! This account is all about finding the space to breathe and focus in our hectic teaching lives. It’s these spaces (sometimes only a few nanoseconds long) which allow us to find the most useful response to enable our pupils to learn, progress and self regulate.

Good morning my friends, Happy Tuesday!!

“The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves and wiser people are so full of doubt”.~Bertrand Russell.

Having taught with no voice a few times I’d have thought it a useful exercise. It also focuses your other communication skills.

I've been to North Newton Primary today to help the Reception children to build a forest of mushrooms! These kids are only a month into Reception class! They made all of this, learning the technique, adapting it, building, sticking, painting, the lot. 😮

Photos from today's projects. Some small children's hands are carefully building some giant mushrooms! The children from reception class at North Newton Primary School have built this large display in just a couple of hours from scratch. The final image is like a forest of 3D relief mushrooms.

Happy #NationalYorkshirePuddingDay
Fun Factlets;
🍘 Yorkshire puddings date back to the C18th & were originally known as “dripping pudding”.
🍘 Historically they were made to use the fat that dripped from roasting meat .
🍘 The 1st known recipe appears in the 1737 book “The Whole Duty of a Woman”.
