Worried I may have accidentally staggered into an alternative dimension...

The Rheumatology consultant I saw today thought my biologic wasn't working - and that my bloods, calprotectin and symptoms all evidence this.

I have been saying this to my IBD Nurse for 8 months (& tumbleweed😒).

Hell, some men don't even know our hole stats, let alone anything more complex than what is *literally visible*. 🤦
Seriously, some guys think we pee vaginally, or that we can 'hold off' periods - or pregnancy! 🙄

Ideally they should have a Functional Skills English qualification. Much more useful, and the content is better aligned with practical life / work needs.

Our local library summer club was horribly unprepared for me. They gave me a Famous Five book and a week to read it. I was 9.
I returned a couple of hours later with my mum, who haggled with the librarian. I left with an adult card & 10 books from the teen/adult sections. 😂

Fed up with the dearth of decent CYOA books as a child, I began writing my own.

It remained unfinished because - ADHD. 🤷😂

I had the public library. They had about 10 of these books. I paced myself - one a month, as a treat.

Took a months-long break while reading LOTR (I mean, I was only 8), then binged the last two.

I now know multiple ways to evade or defeat bears, dragons and evil wizards. Life skills... 😂

😂🤣😂I loved those type of books! The only ones I could get as a kid were 'boys own adventure' stuff & way below my reading ability, but I'd spend a merry afternoon reading all the options & finding the most efficient route to the best ending...
(Adding to my, 'how did nobody spot my Autism?!' list.)

Notice he says 'they really respect her in Italy,' not that he respects her...but I guess talking about the attractiveness of the one female leader present says it all.

When he finally dies, they'd better have great drainage around his grave to handle the copious visitor piss flow.

The way he says about being paid for 'services' (like that's not a heavily laden phrase!) a couple of times, then refers specifically to low income women...this all feels like weird insinuation. Is he implying Homan got the $50k for being an actual ho, man?!

Nobody's demanded it of me yet.
Why would they need to stare into my eyes?
Are they a hypnotist?
Or just too dim to spot the many, many other indicators that someone is listening to them?
If seeing my eyes is vital to their wellbeing, I'm happy to send a photo... 🤷😂

It's society which disabled me.

I was a perfect, golden child, until I didn't follow the set path of conformity. Then I cocooned into decades of weirdo, finally emerging into a full-winged, glorious Autistic mothra! 😂

I was once accused of making up the word 'piratical' by all of my teaching colleagues.
Apparently, I always use 'weird words' & they usually accept it - but thought I was trying it on with that one.
Like, you know I'm an English teacher and was a hyperlexic child, right?!

We had a really bright one, 'Mr Shiny', last year.
We also had 'Scabby Alan', whose adult feathers came in a bit patchy and skewed. He looked like he'd been out all night, getting into bar fights...
It's Alan I can still spot, a year on. Much neater now, but some irregular face splotches.
