When MLS was on ESPN+ I watched like 3-4 games a week. Once it moved behind the Apple Paywall it dropped to 0. Would have been much smarter to have the first 1-2 years free for all Apple TV subscribers, train fans to go to the app, then move behind a paywall.

There are tons of great reporters working for The Athletic, but it’s come to the point where you can’t trust them. The NYT is a corrupt and unethical news source, working for them fundamentally taints everything published under the masthead.
I think there are a number of people employed at the New York Times -- certainly not all of them, but many! -- who simply do not grasp how badly the paper's credibility has been shaken over the past few years, along several different axes, and for multiple different reasons

Can’t just look at the Luka trade in a vacuum. Nico mortgaged their future building the team around Luka. After this draft, they don’t own any of their firsts until 2031. No one is trading a lottery pick for anyone on the Mavs roster, so they are incredibly limited in terms of paths forward.
Look I’m not defending the trade, but their three best players have played 8 games this season total. Sure AD and Kyrie are injury prone, but we haven’t actually seen the team that ownership “bought” with the trade. You can’t give him a full offseason and then eject 3 weeks in.
The fact that the “post-Luka theory” is still a theory 9 months after the trade is evidence enough of the fallacy of the “post-Luka theory”

every few years it's revealed that the NYT was sitting on information about some horrific thing that public knowledge of would have changed the country's course and for some reason a ton of people still give them money. you can play those games on other sites
