Rob Reiner credited his dad Carl Reiner and his "second father" Norman Lear for his activism.

Losing them all in a span of just 5 years is heartbreaking.

Rob Reiner's creative achievements will live on, but his willingness to risk it all for social justice is, for me, his greatest legacy. #FilmSky

On a personal note.

I knew Rob Reiner & his lovely wife Michelle. One of my happiest memories was chatting with them in their kitchen, making sandwiches talking politics, and movies.

They were kind people. Extraordinarily normal and very, very kind.

I love & miss them already.
Life is short.

Rob Reiner used his fame to advocate for progressive causes

Just a really special man, a terrible loss
Rob Reiner used his fame to advocate for progressive causes. 'Just a really special man. A terrible day'
The Hollywood director known for 'Stand by Me' and 'When Harry Met Sally' was also a political force and an outspoken voice for same-sex marriage and early childhood education.

Lifts are for the duration of few seconds, imagine train commutes to work esp with standing space only. Hard to imagine them without phones. Can't read a book amidst all that jostling and constant interruptions.
What did people do in lifts before phones were invented? Awkwardly stare at each other? or the floor maybe?

I liked Mickey 17. There wasn't too much buzz about it on my feed but hey it was good! LB has an average rating of 3.6 though. #filmsky #film

Anecdote time.
Spared a few mins amidst the hectic day & took a short walk in a neighborhood garden. Spotted cute kitty who looked v wary of me & ran away. I walked another round and came by same kitty again. This time I just stood still & he came & rubbed his back against my heel. #cat

What a fascinating thread.
It’s the 111th anniversary today of the birth of Harry Rée, who was a teacher and conscientious objector when the Second World War broke out, and by the time it ended, when he was 31, had invented ‘blackmail sabotage’ and got a DSO, an OBE, a Croix de Guerre, and a Medaille de la Resistance

Oscar Isaac talking about how Jacob Elordi would go click click click with his small camera during #Frankenstein. Apparently he's been into photography since quite some time. Here's one shot by him from 2023.

And here are his recent shots.

Still the GOAT comic strip, AND it's held up brilliantly. It's every bit as enjoyable today as it was during its initial run.

The World’s Goodest Boy(👇) was half Pyr, and I cannot recommend the breed/mixes enough. Friendly, lazy, easy-going nature and usually great with kids (as well as other animals). If you have room in your heart and your yard - take a chance on one of these good boys/girls. You won’t find a better dog.
