Heard it's time for #portfolioday again...

hi, I'm Katha, a game design graduate from Germany.
The art industry is in shambles but I still hold on to a sliver of hope that I will get a chance to work on a video game as either a concept artist or character designer.

ooooof. It's #portfolioday but very few are using alt-text so I don't feel the need to boost or reskeet any of it. A pity, and I get it - sometimes I don't have the energy.

But since Link is gone it's like y'all forgot yourselves.

So 1) bring Link back and 2) label your stuff so it can be shared

Yes, it is. But it is a little more comfortable than the last short row I tried.i always had to go back to HF because the short row heels get too tight around my ankle :(
chembarathi.bsky.social
This heel surely feel a little more comfortable compared to other short row heels I tried. But have to do a little more of the foot section to see if the in step stitches get stretched out far more than I would like.

A victory! To leave your loneliness panting behind you on some street corner
while you float free into a cloud of sudden azaleas,
pink petals that have never felt loneliness,
no matter how slowly they fell. - Naomi Shihab Nye

The Rider- Naomi Shihab Nye

A boy told me if he roller-skated fast enough his loneliness couldn't catch up to him,

the best reason I ever heard for trying to be a champion.

What I wonder tonight pedaling hard down King William Street is if it translates to bicycles.

A victory! To leave your loneliness panting behind you on some street corner while you float free into a cloud of sudden azaleas, pink petals that have never felt loneliness, no matter how slowly they fell.

🧶🧦 Trying out the Palindrome heel with this Autumn leaf socks. I think it works for my high instep. I have been using the usual heel flap and gusset so far because nothing else was working out for me. Need to do one chart repeat to see if it becomes too tight. #knitsky

Watch out for intellect, because it knows so much it knows nothing and leaves you hanging upside down, mouthing knowledge as your heart falls out of your mouth.
- Anne Sexton
#Poetry #LiteratureSky 💙📚👀
Watch out for intellect, because it knows so much it knows nothing and leaves you hanging upside down, mouthing knowledge as your heart falls out of your mouth.

Watch out for games, the actor's part, the speech planned, known, given, for they will give you away and you will stand like a naked little boy, pissing on your own child-bed.

Watch out for love (unless it is true, and every part of you says yes including the toes), it will wrap you up like a mummy, and your scream won't be heard and none of your running will run.

Love? Be it man. Be it woman. It must be a wave you want to glide in on, give your body to it, give your laugh to it, give, when the gravelly sand takes you, your tears to the land. To love another is something like prayer and can't be planned, you just fall into its arms because your belief undoes your disbelief.

what a world it would be if nature compared

if flowers didn't flower because their neighbours were flowerier

you, my friend, must stop all that folly

no one can be more you you are youier.

YOUIER

Imagine if the moon refused to shine because the sun was shinier

if streams ceased to flow because the rivers were flowier

if snow didn't dare to fall because rain was fallier

if planets did not glow because stars were glowier

what a world it would be if nature compared

if flowers didn't flower because their neighbours were flowerier

you, my friend, must stop all that folly

no one can be more you you are youier.

When I am asked how I began writing poems, I talk about the indifference of nature.

I sat on a gray stone bench ringed with the ingenue faces

LISEL MUELLER

WHEN I AM ASKED

When I am asked how I began writing poems, I talk about the indifference of nature.

It was soon after my mother died, a brilliant June day, everything blooming.

I sat on a gray stone bench in a lovingly planted garden, but the daylilies were as deaf as the ears of drunken sleepers, and the roses curved inward. Nothing was black or broken and not a leaf fell, and the sun blared endless commercials for summer holidays.

I sat on a gray stone bench ringed with the ingenue faces of pink and white impatiens and placed my grief in the mouth of language. the only thing that would grieve with me.

These kind of go outside/try yoga/think positive suggestions are not bad in themselves. But they're not useful if you have serious or persistent mental health problems.

So for some of us it, it gets very tedious. World mental health day doesn't feel like it's for people like me, TBH.

Found the drawings I made during my psychosis last year. Let’s just say… Picasso would’ve been confused, concerned, and maybe a little lost. Chaotic lines, questionable anatomy, and enough symbolism to fuel three therapy sessions. #schizophrenia
A black-and-white sketch in an open spiral-bound notebook depicts a gargoyle-like creature perched on a pedestal. The creature has horns, large bat-like wings, clawed hands gripping a cracked sphere, and a muscular body with a somber expression. A black-and-white ink drawing in a spiral-bound sketchbook depicts a rat, lying dead or dying, on its side with multiple small insects crawling around and over it.

Let us pick flowers.
Let us lightly
Wet our hands
In the calm rivers,
So as to learn
Some of their calmness.

Sunflowers forever
Beholding the sun,
We will serenely
Depart from life,
Without even the regret
Of having lived.

To Alberto Caeiro

Peaceful, Master, Are all the hours We lose if we place, As in a vase, Flowers on our Losing them.

There are in our life No sorrows or joys. So let us learn, Wisely unworried, Not how to live life But to let it go by,

Keeping forever Peaceful and calm, Taking children For our teachers And letting Nature Fill our eyes...

Along the river Or along the road, Wherever we are, Always remaining In the same, easy Repose of living. Time passes And tells us nothing. We grow old. Let us know how, With a certain mischief, To feel ourselves go.

Taking action Serves no purpose. No one can resist The atrocious god Who always devours His own children.

Let us pick flowers. Let us lightly Wet our hands In the calm rivers, So as to learn Some of their calmness.

Sunflowers forever Beholding the sun, We will serenely Depart from life, Without even the regret Of having lived.
