Happy #TDOV! Are you Trans in Dayton, Ohio? Here's a zine I made with resources for you (health, food, housing, worship, community, etc.). They could take it all away and I'd still be trans.

Incredible article which points out that it often collectively costs more to apply for scarce research funding than the funds awarded to the successful proposals.

What an absurd system we've built in the service of efficiency and competition.

If you have “sincere concerns” about trans athletes in sports, all it means is that you have given yourself a rationale for your bigotry that you sincerely believe exonerates you for aligning to a far-right tactic for marginalization and exclusion.

leftist plan to increase the birthrate:

- universal health care
- free child care
- better paid family leave
- better workforce protections so they can't lay you off while you're pregnant and be like "no it was for something else i swear"

ok i did it

As birthrates tumble, some progressives say the left needs to offer ideas and solutions
The US and other countries face aging, shrinking populations. Conservatives have shaped debate over the issue. Some liberals say it's time for progressives to weigh in.

We are doing so fucking much.
The "Why aren't Americans doing anything?" posts are a case study in media manipulation and external propaganda. Because so many accounts claiming there are no protests are just bots

In my musical journey, I went from exclusively using triads and hating making music, to using both triads and extended chords and having fun, to exclusively using extended chords and hating making music, then back to using both triads and extended chords and having fun again.

I just found out last night that the $50k enrollment bonus only pays out after 5 years of service, and reader, the laugh I let out when I read that woke the dog from across the house. These absolute fucking grapes aren't seeing a dime of that money. No way they can ride out 5 years of this job.
ICE recruitment is going well.

He shot her in the head because he was afraid.
He didn't shoot her in the head at point blank range because he felt like he was in danger. He shot her in the head at point blank range because he was furious that she wasn't afraid of him. He shot her in the head at point blank range because he felt emasculated.

Somehow I am only just learning that Fux and Mattheson got into a huge fight in the 1710s over hexachordal solmization, and Mattheson commissioned a woodcut for a publication depicting a LITERAL GRAVE for Guido of Arezzo, the hexachords, and the modes. Pettiness level: advanced.

Hence my theory — cockamamie, of course, except that is it really? — that there was once a concert in which MTT conducted a piece by Feldman. And told the story.

And in the audience was a member of the SNL writing staff, about to make history.

Anti-ICE march in lower Manhattan is moving north, destination unknown.

Looks to be about a thousand people.

This march does not have a permit, and used amplified sound at the rally with no issues. A notable shift from the Adams admin that directed NYPD to nitpick.
