What sucks is we’ve had so many machine-learning tools for so long that are genuinely helpful, and so many of these companies could just keep improving on those tools and stop calling everything “AI” and making it an option instead of a invasive and pervasive data-mining scam but unfortunately-!!!

I agree! Fuck AI. Also, this article refers to AI as "antihuman technology" & I think that's a perfect description. Whenever I see/hear AI crap, it makes my skin crawl.

So let me get this straight: Netflix gutted their animation branch to ‘save money’ and then gave billions of dollars to Zaslav who completely destroyed the legacy studio(s) he was left in charge of?

Netflix acquiring WB is still shit, very much so, it’s super shitty, intolerably shitty, but it’s certainly less shit than Ellison n Paramount having it. So I’m looking at the smallest sliver of silver linings in this scenario. I just hope for the best for all employees in the middle of all this.
