I think when the Ai industry dies its impending and ignoble death there will be alot of think peices about why and how, but to save some time i just think creating the digital equivalent of blowing cigarette smoke into peoples faces that costs more than god was not good economic strategy.

I've opened comms for drawings in this style!
I'm unfortunately struggling, and holiday season is looking awfully bleak, so please consider commissioning me for one of these, if interested. ^^

The UK's age verification rollout has been chaotic. “What we are really doing is building surveillance infrastructure around accessing information online,” EFF’s Paige Collings told @techpolicypress.bsky.social. www.techpolicy.press/age-verific...
Age Verification Is Locking Trans People Out of the Internet | TechPolicy.Press
Experts tell Dia Kayyali and Jasmine Mithani that age verification, sold as a fix for kids’ online safety, expands surveillance and deepens discrimination.

I spent some time making a reference sheet for Reika in case anyone wants to draw her 👉👈 It'll be up on her page on my site soon. And I'll be posting a nude version to patreon with better tattoo detail later on. If we're mutuals and you want that for free you can DM me for it.

"These leaders invoke a threat of moral and demographic decline, claiming that child-free women, queer people and immigrants pose a danger to national survival. It’s a way to regain and retain popular support even as their policies deepen poverty, erode civil liberties and increase corruption."
The U.S. is mirroring a pattern that has happened in authoritarian regimes around the world. When a government erects barriers to reproductive care, it doesn’t just cause death and suffering for women and their families. Such policies are often a first step in the gradual decline of democracies.

One barrier is ID checks. Imagine living in one of the 12 U.S. states where abortion is illegal and just trying to learn about abortion on Reddit or YouTube then having to hand over your ID. If at any point you actually seek out an abortion, this info can be used to incriminate you.

They're nitpicky because they want to FEEL like their input was an important part of the result. And they get that feeling when the slop machine gives them their customized slop.
I feel the clients now using GenAI to do stuff and going "good enough" when they used to nitpick at every last detail is due to them finding out all those nit picky changes take time and work they cant be bothered to put in.

its genuinely kind of fucking maddening that KPDH keeps skyrocketing (good) but basically every single fucking entertainment exec in power absolutely REFUSES to understand that its because people want new, original animated stories (bad) so it will just be MORE of one thing and copycats
