Writer, human, uncle, recuperative multi-generic hybrid, obliterated romantic, scribbling, managing crap health stuff, steps and swims at a time. Saw the NBA fall, in another life. London. Home is a WIP, with Shelves, No Commercial Value. It hurts. Always.

Overheard at British bookstore Waterstones: Customer’s child is doing a project on dinosaurs. Customer cannot believe bookstore doesn’t have a single book with actual photographs of real dinosaurs.

They're discontinuing Snaps at the end of the month. This is some fucking bullshit.

It’s weird how the “young” Republicans are actually full-grown men and JD Vance treats them as children who shouldn’t face consequences for their racism, misogyny, or xenophobia.

But pregnant 12-year-old little girls are treated as adults and must literally bear the consequences of rape and incest.

I get paid 7 figures a year to come up with this shit. Some stuff I have cooking up for you to look forward to: Amazon Prime changing to Amazon Plus. Paramount Plus changing to Paramount Now. HBO Max changing to just HBO. I fucking hate all of you and I will never stop.

"According to the legends," he said, "the Magratheans lived most of their lives underground." "Why's that? said Arthur. "Did the surface become too polluted or overpopulated?" "No, I don't think so," said Zaphod. "I think they just didn't like it very much."

Facebook has reminded me of a Doctor Who story I made two years ago. Do it, Disney, you know you want to. You could get eight hours out of this, easy.

Teaching students “AI prompt engineering” is such an offensive perversion of inquiry based education it makes me breathe fire.
genuinely what the fuck is an "ai skill" that isn't basic reading comprehension, skepticism, the ability to evaluate sources, and, like, typing?

Although many things were different, this first edition did feature the familiar Rainbow theme - performed by Telltale (Hugh Fraser was one of the song's co-writers).
Autocorrect is getting increasingly strange, like HAL having that breakdown.
I remember seeing this go out, so it should just be a comforting childhood memory. It manages to be both that and deeply unnerving.
The first edition of Rainbow was broadcast on this day in 1972. Created by Pamela Lonsdale, it was presented by David Cook and featured John Leeson as Bungle (Zippy was performed by Violet Philpott and voiced by Peter Hawkins). Music was provided by Telltale.

Should debates be conducted with deep mutual both respect on both sides? Depends entirely on the quality of the argument being put. Respecting stupidity is why we're in messes now. Fuck people who do not have the intellectual capacity to offer a worthwhile view & shouldn't be patronised.

Are you a scientist? No? Then your opinion on climate change not being real is not valid. It isn't. It is worthless. Fuck off. Go and have an opinion on something else. As I had to tell a deeply stupid full of himself Manx Radio "celeb" last night. Stupid Eaters. Talk about nominative determinism.
