A reminder for those who are not aware: "remigration" is the process of deporting all non-white people from a country. It includes citizens and is, by definition, ethnic cleansing.

And to be clear: this is not fake. I just screenshot it myself.

Like sure "you can talk to the computer and it does stuff"is appealing since that's Star Trek and we want to live in Star Trek. But "you can talk to the computer and then it lies to you" is 2001: A Space Odyssey and we don't really want to live in that.

Exactly. Parents - if you believe a book is negatively influencing your child's values, have a conversation with them about the contents. Or don't take it home from the library. But you don't get to tell me MY child can't read it.

This is pretty basic and can be equally applied Left and Right.

those who crow about “parents’ rights” will celebrate this. but it directly undermines one basic prerogative parents and caregivers have, which is to nurture their children’s free development by affording them the access that books provide to the diversity of ways of living and being in the world. 📚

When a politician says: we’ll deregulate health insurance and send you a “freedom account” check, ask: freedom to buy what? If insurers don’t offer real policies or can cherry-pick only healthy people, that money is a coupon for a store that’s not open.

Since Stephen Miller is in the midst of another of his Aryans-only trantrums, we should note that his family are 20th century immigrants from the shtetl of Antopol (Антопаль) then in the Hrodna gubernia of Russia. Applying his immigration rules, they would all have perished in the Holocaust.

To be clear, the FBI paid nearly $1M in overtime over a FIVE DAY PERIOD last March. And yes, part of it was to find and redact Trump's name. I spoke to sources who reviewed the files for the FBI and DOJ and wrote about it here: www.muellershewrote.com/p/the-epstei...

Banning immigration, revoking green cards, and reviewing naturalizations has nothing to do with that attack.

The suspect was thoroughly vetted & was given asylum under Trump, not Biden, both because he helped the US in the war in Afghanistan.

All DOGE accomplished was purging critical government staff, handing private data to outsiders, and sentencing thousands in developing countries to death by gutting USAID.

I don’t say this lightly: if there were any justice in this world, the people responsible for this devastation would be in jail

Long and great thread.
Being among the first interrogated and ultimately fired by DOGE, I certainly felt we were facing the business end of a right-wing conspiracy theory 🧵
DOGE was not a money-saving effort. It was an effort to chase down and prove right-wing conspiracy theories. They went after USAID to prove conspiracy theories about foreign aid. Then they went after SSA to, again, pursue conspiracy theories about Dems paying "illegals" to vote. 1/2

They also removed text saying “Vaccines can help you stay healthy” and added a banner saying the site is being updated.
