Cycling has increased by 12% since last year, 1,500,000 daily journeys, a 43% rise from 2019.

Out tree planting with some of the crew and giving previous years saplings some TLC. Many starting to establish well now despite the brutal drought last year. 👍

This book has been so soothing. I have probably learned more about the foreign policies that shape the world just in the first three chapters than I have in at least the last 15 years of news media. 🙃 It's helped clarify a lot of the absolutely batshit nonsense of the current timeline. COMFORT READ

All my years working in Real Ale and Craft Beer this is without doubt the best Pale Ale ever produced from within the British isles.

In my extremely humble opinion, Obviously.

Yup. When I saw this wonky AI-generated bicycle in a cycling advocate’s presentation recently I reached for the FFSs.

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

Have you ever seen a bike lane sweeper - pulled behind a bike?

Volunteers in Kirkland have a new tool that attaches to the back of an e-bike. It's good for protected bike lanes, sidewalks, and narrow trails.

The country wants a wealth tax on assets.

They're panicking because "won't the rich just leave" has been utterly debunked.

They've got no actual argument.

It's a story as old as time itself.
People with a £2 million house complaining they can't afford an extra £5k a year. And then you read down the article and they're also whinging that their *second property* that they rent out, might be due for extra tax too!

Cry me a river.

So much of #Edinburgh’s streetscape has been converted into private car storage.

Without consultation, gradually over time we’ve become numb to ever increasing number and size of private belongings stored in public space.

Cars ≠ thriving streets or successful public space

We need #StreetsNOTroads
I spent most of Tuesday following the "Singing Street" around to take photos of the filming locations. It was very hard not to be struck by streets that were once playgrounds now being car parks. In other places there is still a bustle of life, but it is now tourists playing, not skipping girls

I know who Nus Ghani MP is - not because we always agree - but because she’s been serving her constituency (as well as lewks) since 2015.

Who the hell is Lucy White?!

Ah, a quick google search reveals her as a rentagob for GB ‘news.’

I know which one is qualified to chair the budget debate.

This road is now 30mph

Since the legacy “design speed” of the road remains high, it needs at least an average speed camera & red light camera

In the meantime, WAIT and check everything is stopped before crossing

Am always wary of this crossing on the Western Approach Road, but yesterday took it to a new level.
At least we have speed and power limits on ebikes, though.
