Looking for a starter pack for Bluesky folk who love Peter Cushing and point at the screen and shout ‘Michael Ripper’ should Michael Ripper appear.

People who have seen Island of Terror 100s of times but still watch if if it’s on.

Anyone?
I haven’t been able to take her seriously since the intro round on NMTB when she failed to identify Ziggy Stardust.

Everyone at Big Finish was very sad to hear of the passing of actor Nabil Shaban. Our deepest condolences go out to his friends and family.
Ah. The ‘new’ Star Trek film themes.

Definitely modern classics.
Sounds of Cinema sounds like it will be wall to wall bangers today.

Pelham 123 is a strong start

It's my last BBC Radio 3 Sound of Cinema tomorrow, and I will be saying a proper goodbye. So tomorrow's show is an argument for the intellectual depth and richness of the film music, and how it should never be treated like wallpaper. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...
BBC Radio 3 - Sound of Cinema, A place for ideas
Matthew Sweet's weekly look at music for the screen.

Awww, really?

That’s sad news. One of the cheeriest villains we ever had!

Well this is rather pants news.

SoC has been consistently excellent, informative and entertaining forever…

All the best to Matthew Sweet.

Very sorry to hear that - it’s one of our favourite shows on R3.

+++ Today we are remembering the talent of the devilish Vincent Price, who passed over to the other side on this day, the 25th of October 1993, aged 82. +++

Thatchers Zero is rank 🤢🤢🤢
Just FYI

Should have stuck to Guinness 0%

No #thefilmcrowd tonight.

Been doing this instead 🤘🏻
I remember being annoyed when Wieldy disappeared in series 8.

Not killed off / went to live happily ever after with his sculptor. Just gone.

I assumed it was because they wanted to hide the gay man - but I looked it up - the actor was diagnosed with MS and passed away in 2017.

RIP David Royle.
I’m boxsetting Dalziel & Pascoe atm.
90s cars, fashion and 🫣 makeup🫣
And attitudes.

I remember the character of Wieldy. He was the first gay character I can remember in a crime series.

Regular side character, just a part of the team. Also gay - but no big deal.

They wonder why Britain is not productive.

From April, millions of self-employed people, who until now could fill in a form to submit their tax return, will have to pay for “recognised software” to do the same thing.

I wonder how many MPs have financial interests in the accounting software firms?
We nearly watched that one! Guilty pleasure Halloween fun :)
It’s half term!

Let the Halloween countdown begin 😍🎃😍

Hey hey @thefilmcrowd.bsky.social - could you add @sharrisdesigns.bsky.social to the list please?

It’s half term now so we stand a better chance of making the weekday shenanigans :)

Fankoo.

Was she?!?!!?!?!

I love her.
Fantastic Bonnie Langford impression and could have totally taken Ingrid Pitt in a fight.
I remember the theme. I remember it's name.

Yet the only thing I can remember about the show is that Stephen Yardley was in it.

It might have been about boats.
Amazing detective work. Thank you.
I watched this last night.
Incredibly impressive detective work.
Incredibly depressing use of AI.
