Imperialist wars of aggression are bad. Ukraine is one. Palestine is another. If Russia/Israel win, Ukraine/Palestine are no more.

If you're fine with one and against the other, please unfollow/don't follow. You're pro-genocide or anti-genocide, there's no "but just one little genocide plz?" to it.
I'm not *entirely* surprised, he's had his Moments before. A bit, but reflecting causes "..yeah, he was always a bit off."

But dumbass.
SCOOP: Academy Award-nominee Liam Neeson narrated a recent anti-vaccine documentary that glorifies RFK Jr.’s rise to power.

In the film, Neeson—a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador—calls the COVID-19 vaccines “dangerous experiments.”

Helpful.
The Govt says that young adults who cannot get a home because it's policies mean there's no cost rental or social housing should live with their parents and agree to perform “household chores”... “not only will it lighten the workload for your family, but it will also help you feel more independent”
“A very bad joke”, “embarrassing”, “patronising”, “dystopian”, and “tone deaf” are some of the words that have been used to describe a video from the Department of Housing advising people on moving back in with their parents.

"You can only believe atrocities if those committing them admit to them."

You can only take the Russian word of what they're doing in Ukraine and Israel's word on Gaza. And Trump's word on whoever he's blown up this week. Thems the rules of imperialism.

Boosting this campaign again. Amal is very scared because her husband Naser, a kind and effervescent father and friend, has suffered a severe downturn in his health. He has a lung condition and has never had a chance to get better. She's exhausted and distraught. Please help.

“…powerful men navigated her, and, through that, she learned how to navigate them, the world, in a way that I think has gravitas” and apparently you can journalistically malpractice so hard you become the Northwest Passage.
Possibly the only thing more freakish than Nuzzi's prose is the contortions her defenders twist themselves into. "She's not just hot, but she definitely is hot, while also being a vulnerable smol child. Also, criticizing her is sexist."

Had a dream last night that was the usual mess, but at the end, I was watching a giant polar bear walk toward me, carrying a volcano like a snailshell on its back.

“Welp,” I said to the person next to me, “that’s either a god or a Pokemon.”

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

I've quite enjoyed Eurovision in the past. I've boycotted it the last two years because the goddam hypocrisy. I'm glad to see it coming to a head this year, it's been building.

Mind you, my partner is grateful to not get eurovisioned.
Of course! An Ireland Thinks poll in today's Sunday Independent shows 79% of people support RTÉ's decision not to take part in Eurovision 2026 due to apartheid Israel's participation. Ireland stands with Palestine, always. #BoycottEurovision #BDS

The bottom 90% lost a collective $79 trillion in wages over the past 50 years.

Why? Because the top 1% ate up an increasingly larger share of the national income — so that $79 trillion flowed to them instead of the working class.

The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

It's pretty wild to me that politicians can just choose their constituents.
I don’t know, I still randomly trip out over the fact that the President told states to specifically gerrymander for him. And they did.

I wouldn't be wildly surprised if Eurovision did keel over for a couple of years and then slowly reform more as it was in the 90s. It's gotten so big and expensive plus the voting bloc shenanigans that it's hard for less wealthy countries to participate.
What a day it was. The mess will likely continue over the next week or so. I think this very well could be the end of the Eurovision
It's a big day for Ciarán

Despite the name, eligibility to join is not based on being in Europe, but rather being part of the European Broadcasting Union. Hence Australia etc. Quite a lot of countries on the African side of the Med are also eligible.

This has been the yearly explanation of why X is in #Eurovision

Your Party members are currently debating options for what to be called. Result to be announced tomorrow as there's an online vote too. Your Party, Our Party, For the Many or Popular Alliance.

A straw poll board up during conference has Your Party ahead, with Popular Alliance doing well too.
