Legitimately mad about this. Lots of people in Ward 10 want to vote for the candidate who support alternative transportation. Lydia Millard should stop lying to voters about being a bike advocate. She has very explicitly campaigned against bike, pedestrian, and transit infrastructure.

Yesterday two Trump-appointed judges lifted a stay on Trump sending the National Guard into Democratic cities, and today Coons, Durbin, Fetterman, Hassan, Heinrich, Kaine, Kelly, Klobuchar, Reed, Schiff, Shaheen, Welch, and Whitehouse are giving him yet ANOTHER appointment. Totally fucking useless!

Minneapolis Federation of Educators Local 59’s Joint Executive Board have informed members they will call a strike vote Oct 23-27 if our three contracts are not settled at the next mediation session on Tuesday, October 21.

After seven months of stalled contract talks, Minneapolis educators have scheduled a strike vote.

Our next mediation session with the district is Oct. 21. Unless a settlement is reached, we’ll vote Oct. 23–27.

“Families and educators want the same thing — strong neighborhood schools where every child can thrive,” said Marcia Howard, president of MFE’s teacher chapter. “MPS can’t afford not to invest in our schools.”

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
