I love my neighbors when they get awakened, even when I know some of the stuff they said in the past. Just begging yall be consistent, dont backslide when we call for analogues, all the ways we take care of one another, all the so called radical ways not related to this crisis in particular.
Minneapolis should press its momentum and demand not only withdrawal but start talking about the need for immediate reparations, loudly, with the total certainty that only winners have. "You have wronged us terribly and must pay recompense" and let them argue the second part.

We have trying to tell people in other parts of the country that this is an occupation straight up. And they tend to think we are exaggerating- or its hyperbole. Nope, straight up ICE and Border Patrol view Minnesotans as a population that must be suppressed.
"In theater" is a military term that refers to a wartime theater of operations. ICE and CBP agents are in Minnesota, which is one of the United States. The enemy in this military operation are citizens of Minnesotans and the United States.
Q: Can you be specific about how many ICE and CBP agents are currently operating in the state?

HOMAN: 3,000. There's been some rotations. They've been in theater a long time. Day after day, can't eat in restaurants, people spin on you, blowing whistles at you. But my main focus now is draw down

So do all the troglodytes at all the CRimE WaTcH and Nextdoor sites report on ICE crimes and assaults or do their heads just explode?

Kao Kalia Yang is one of Minnesota’s greatest writers. I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing her a couple of times and she is every bit as lovely and poetic and magic as her work.

There isn’t any indication that immigration activity has changed in Minneapolis. In fact, this afternoon, federal immigration agents began staging at Holy Rosary Catholic Church located in East Phillips. This activity is disgraceful and creates an unsafe environment for our neighbors. 1/

Rent is due and families are being pushed to the brink.

In the midst of everything happening right now, immigrant community members are struggling to make ends meet, and the neighbors and organizers stepping in to support them are stretching beyond capacity.

Yesterday Bovino left and Tom Homan came to town and ICE continued as usual taking multiple people near Central Ave and throughout the suburbs. But we Minnesotans don’t get scared, we get organized and we get in the streets.

Night raids are what killed Amir Locke.
"I'm gonna give Homan the benefit of the doubt"

"They should coordinate with local law enforcement, pick these people up in the middle of the night when they're not suspecting it"

Walz is capitulating to fascists and encouraging night raids. Genuinely disgusting. Why would anyone settle for this?

Over 1,600 evictions have been filed throughout Minnesota from January 1 through January 23.

Filings for January rent have increased dramatically in the past week.

February rent is due soon.

It is still extremely dangerous for our neighbors to be out in public.
I’ve never been prouder to be a Minnesotan.

Minneapolis City Council member Jason Chavez has been a hero throughout, advocating, witnessing, speaking up, getting assaulted by ICE thugs, but still never failing to help the people he represents. Bravo @jchavezmpls.bsky.social
Dear neighbor, It is not the time to let your guard down, nor is it the time to stop organizing.

While Bovino will be leaving Minneapolis along with some U.S. Border Patrol agents, there is still no specific plan that has been communicated to the public. 1/

While glad to see Bovino humbled, I really don’t have any higher opinion of Homan—a cruel, cold, corrupt, calculating bureaucrat who’s devoted more of his career to mass deportation than almost anyone. He’s the architect of child separation.

What does that say about you that you are not brave enough to admit or declare for the abolition of an agency that has only been around since 2003, and just swooped in with masked unaccountable thugs and killed two loving neighbors? ask yourself, it is a fundamental question

Oh dang, okay I have a crazy story! So, this U.S. citizen was watching TV in his house, in his underwear (like a lot of us!) and ICE came and BROKE DOWN HIS DOOR WITHOUT A SIGNED JUDICIAL WARRANT AND DRAGGED HIM OUT THE HOUSE IN HIS UNDERS IN SUBZERO TEMPERATURES AND KEPT HIM FOR HOURS.

Leadership looks very clear when you see it.
ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.

We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

Right on cue, you’re deflecting from your failures with lies and conspiracy theories about me. Years of “investigations" have found nothing.

Get your goons out of Minnesota.

Come together for what? Progress towards what? I’m genuinely asking. The federal government is murdering Minnesotans and disappearing our neighbors. So if any of these CEO’s want to explain to me personally what I — as a state leader — should ask the federal government for, I’m available.
A letter released Sunday by the leaders of more than 60 Minnesota companies — including the CEOs of Target, General Mills, UnitedHealth Group and 3M — called for local and federal leaders to “come together to foster progress.”
Live: Minnesota's high-profile CEOs break silence, call for ‘immediate deescalation’
The letter marks a notable shift from Minnesota’s top employers, who had previously remained quiet about the surge of immigration officials in the state and the killing of Renee Good.

Good afternoon from downtown Chicago, where despite heavy snowfall, thousands have gathered for an anti-ICE/CBP demonstration in solidarity with the Twin Cities. More are still streaming in.

Lt. Illinois Gov. Juliana Stratton just addressed the crowd, and called for ICE to be abolished.
