Rob Reiner was one of the key people behind the effort to go to court to overturn California's anti-marriage equality Proposition 8 when it passed in 2008.

Working with Chad Griffin, they founded the American Foundation for Equal Rights and got Ted Olson and David Boies to team up to fight Prop 8.

something I find really compelling about Colombo is you get to see the portrayed lives of very wealthy people in California in the 1970s and everything just looks like shit

It's a little known fact that the predator in Predator isn't actually arming a bomb on its wrist computer near the end, but is calling The Police.

12 dead at a mass shooting at a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach.💔

A 43-year-old father of two, Ahmed al Ahmed, snuck up & tackled a gunman to disarm him. Ahmed was shot twice.

Both Jewish & Muslim faiths teach that “to save one life is to save all humanity.” Let us hold fast to our humanity.❤️

Ahh so he’s just openly admitting his absolutely abysmal and transphobic views on trans people in sports are just fully made without listening to any actual facts on the issues, just shit he’s made up based on fear mongering. Cool cool. But did you know he’s the best on trans? He said so!

I have an ex boyfriend who insisted he be listed as a co-author on the cover of a book I might hypothetically write while on a trip with him. Strangely my creative career never really found its pace until after we broke up.
Years ago someone "gave me an idea" for something and then immediately demanded that if I did anything with it I should give him 50% of anything I earned from it. So I simply didn't use it and had other ideas instead, because ideas are the easy bit.
It’s always just so funny to me that AI using “writers“ often defend it with but how else are you meant to come up with ideas?? Like that’s what tells you that you weren’t really meant to be a writer, you have none.

Based on how many times I say variations of 'Eat your breakfast!' 'Did you finish your breakfast?' 'Hey buddy, focus up: we gotta finish breakfast.' 'Beamer. EAT. YOUR. BREAKFAST.' every morning, having a border collie is very much like having a five year old.

A 5-year journal, however, would probably fix me
It's the time of year I'm white knuckling through all the promoted ads chanting the protective spell:

"Another planner WOULD NOT fix me, another planner WOULD NOT fix me, another planner WOULD NOT FIX ME."

My favourite thing I heard of like this is a debugging feature in Alien Isolation where instead of hissing the Alien states aloud what it's thinking about.

"I heard you. I am hunting you. I am hunting you. I am hunting you. I have found you."

Black Panther opening weekend at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.
