Some absolute all-timer quotes in this video from realizing that creator-driven shows doesn't always translate well to costumed characters to jumpscares involving disgraced entertainers
Another Thanksgiving, another opportunity to plug the Nickelodeon at the Macy's Parade video I did a few years ago.

The fact that Snoopy is one of those characters who has brought me joy in almost every stage of my life thus far cannot be a coincidence
Been thinking about why Snoopy is having a resurgence and I think it’s this. Snoopy is just such an innocent character. He’s flawed and human. But Snoopy is joy.
maybe it’s cliche and maybe it’s corny but Charles Schulz’ Peanuts is basically the best comic

Home Alone was released on this day 35 years ago 🏠 ✨

A movie I've always enjoyed but one that watching it last year made me realize it's a genuine masterpiece and one that I would personally argue is among the best of the 90s
35 years ago today HOME ALONE was released in theaters. Anchored by its star-making performance from Macaulay Culkin, an all-time great John Williams score & the shared vision of John Hughes & Chris Columbus, it was almost immediately minted as a pillar of 90s pop culture & a modern holiday classic.

Millennium Actress, the late Satoshi Kon's masterpiece in how it recognizes the power that cinema has in tandem with people's memories and creates an incredibly moving work that makes you feel like you lived a whole life by the time the end credits roll
What is the best movie not from this year that you’ve seen this year? Bonus points if you say why

The Melvin & the Squirrels bit from Homer's Barbershop Quartet and I genuinely cannot explain why outside of "I think this is funny as a side tangent gag"
what's the stupidest/randomest Simpsons quote that lives in your head rent free? Mine is the urge to say "you said go to bread" every time I am about to head to bed.

Wild times when you realize that one of the most iconic 2000s Nick shows just casually has a whole-ass scene very few have seen in over twenty years
Not every day you find an entire scene from Drake & Josh that was cut in reruns. Behold -- for the first time since 2004... Josh's school presentation on Persia!

I'm a zillennial who's never seen National Treasure despite the fact I have the DVD in my collection and could have easily had the excuse to watch it by now
Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

I'll admit to being guilty of this in the past but at the same time, Patrick Stewart didn't go all hype mode for Salt N Pepa on SNL only for that to be ignored by 2000s born Zoomers
If your discussion of 90s music ignores hip hop you’re just lying to be clear. It was massive. Salt n Pepa and En Vogue blew Nirvana out on the charts. And should’ve honestly.
I feel people forget glam metal was still very much in the charts up to around 93. Hip hop was arguably bigger than grunge in that era as well.
