Hi #MedSky and #IDsky, I'm a first year ID fellow in Boston (but a NYC boy at heart, also part-time Australian, long story). I enjoy all things ID but my passions are improving care for infections related to drug use, plus LGBTQ and sexual health, and making healthcare more welcoming for all.

a key thing about vought — and all of these guys — is that they have a totally top down and hierarchical vision of the world. they believe that the cultural changes they hate can be turned off by destroying the federal government because they can’t imagine that they emerged bottom-up in society

What he’s railing against is a profound shift in culture, status… He’s obsessed with the idea that America is controlled by a leftist “ruling elite” - but “elite” isn’t defined socio-economically or by political power, it means something like: Getting to define “real America” and who gets to belong.

ICE secretly kidnap autistic boy during bathroom break—never notify parents.

Mother reported him missing a week ago—turns out ICE had him detained the whole time.

He was helping sell fruit and asked to go to the restroom—by the time she was done helping a customer he was gone.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

My guess is cheese - assuming equal weight - since the fish sticks will also have more carbs, but maybe the cheese is more fat by weight which could give fish the edge...

Given these numbers, we might ask why he makes so much noise about undocumented migrants on Medicaid.

I'd argue maybe because: the real goal is to cut the Medicaid that legally goes to US citizen kids of undocumented migrants, but that's politically a harder sell.
