The fact that at least one set of grandparents kept a set weekly meal plan for their entire adult lives, bought multiples of a certain clothing item, had strong feelings about curtain pleats, and allowed no one and nothing to touch their basement train set is all purely coincidental, Your Honor.

I think it’s taken a long time to notice it’s heritability because it’s so common in some families that the behaviors feels *normal*. Eg, “Of course kids are going to all go thru their eating only buttered pasta phase, your grandpa did and I did and you did and your kids did”
