I fairly routinely bring out works printed between 1505 and 1582, all of which are in decent shape for being that old, and which are easily read, if you know Latin. I do not think we’ll have any e-books we’ll be able to use in 2525.
One of the books in my office is 290 years old. It’s still in excellent condition and easy to read. I wonder how easy it’ll be to read electronic texts 290 years from now. I expect it’ll be rather trickier.

Taking a new picture of her bc the one I have is barely holding on.

(She’s a Barbie in a crocheted toilet paper cover dress that got sold in an estate sale *mumble* years ago.)

When you absolutely, positively MUST 1) transport a cat and 2) rip the seat out of your pants.

(Video is of a person with a zip up cat enclosure on the back of their trousers.)

Also coming out of the woods and hitting the lights of Gatlinburg was fucking amazing. Like the being jacked into the Vegas strip mainframe.

Altho tbh that white knuckle drive did make me a little homesick for Northern Virginia, where I learned to drive both on the Beltway AND the rolling hills and hairpin turns of backwoods Fairfax County.

We did turkey for both holidays. I HATE turkey. Now I do steak. Or chicken.
it fascinates me how most everyone in the U.S. does turkey for Thanksgiving, but we are all over the map as to what we eat for Christmas (as is proper for a hugely diverse nation).

I come from a Christmas prime rib roast family, myself.
I also use the bacon method. Although turkey is Christmas dinner where I come from.
