“Everyday curses” have constantly been on my mind lately. E.g. May their pillows always be warm. May their socks always feel damp. May they get poked by every staple that they encounter. May they step on lego daily. May their towels always be musty. May they get endless hang nails and split ends.

I find that kids blame the parent whose love they know is unconditional.
Not purposely, but even for little things, I'm the "safer" scapegoat with mine.
Hubby loves these kids, but they also know that his dad is NC with his kids, mine aren't.
Therefore, I'm safer.
