Whoops, I meant to add that if anyone wants to come along with me, the more, the merrier!
Planning to park at my regular spot downtown and walk to the meet up from there

ok real talk #nolasky #nolatwitter - are folks coming to the #nokings protest on the greenway? i was handing out flyers last night at an event & was astounded to find people who hadn't heard anything about it. thankfully they were psyched and plan to come. i know there's a lot going on this weekend.
We just finished the first episode of The Chair Company on HBO, and, following the ending chase scene, I can’t remember the last time I laughed that much.
Oh yeah. You gotta check ALL the dates.
It also keeps me sane when they finally restocked the skim milk, but then I realize that it’s all expired, some dated as far back as 10/1.
These are all the steps I take to avoid crashing out as I try to figure out where they relocated the bathroom stuff like shower curtains in the big renovation. It was by all the hygiene products before. If you guessed that it would be moved to near electronics, you’d be correct. 🤣😝😭
My new Sunday ritual is getting some kind of iced coffee situation at 7Brew before going to the Chalmette Walmart. The parking lots are connected, you see. I always listen to an audiobook while doing my Walmart shopping, and this is really going to elevate the whole experience. It’s a simple life. 👵🏻
Seeing an owl in the wild always feels magical!
A few sessions with a physical therapist may be helpful! I’ve been seeing one for a while for my neck/shoulder pain, and we’ve been working on full body stuff recently.
I couldn’t find any information about this on the news sites, only on Nola.gov, but you don’t need a prescription anymore to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Louisiana. Spread the word, a lot of people were probably not going to the 💉because of that dumb restriction that was in place.

Her form could use work, but this could be considered a downward-facing dog.

In my brief oak wilt research, I’ve learned that trimming in the summer months is the worst thing you can do, and that’s what my neighbor did with his trees 😟
@lsuagcenter.bsky.social Could this be oak wilt? I worry because I’m seeing the brown spots on multiple trees both in the L9 and Arabi. 😟
Here’s pictures of the tree in the Lower 9th. It’s getting worse by the day. 😔
An oak tree is seen over a street and the oak trees leaves are brown The brown oak tree has a scar running down its trunk.
I emailed the LSU Ag Center last night. I’ll try to find an arborist.
I didn’t, but I can
The tree in the pictures is in Arabi
Not to be an alarmist, but there's a tree on Claiborne Ave in the Lower 9th that I'm pretty sure has oak wilt, and I worry my neighbors’ giant oaks (pictured) might have it too, and that could be super devastating to the canopy should it spread.
An oak tree with significant browning More browning of leaves on a large oak tree More browning leaves on a large oak tree
I saw it on an ADHD tips and tricks post and thought it was brilliant!
I automated my phone to send me a daily reminder to review my photos taken one year ago, which also reminds me to look back through other years—all to clean up my massive photo library. Turns out I’m no longer interested in keeping a record of that spaghetti I made and photographed back in 2017.

Planned Parenthood was the easiest and fastest way to get my IUD. I was so happy when they moved from Magazine street and got better parking. The loss of Planned Parenthood is the loss of fast, affordable healthcare services and anyone celebrating it's closure is a ghoul.
Abortion has already been banned for 3 years in Louisiana.

This was just a “fuck you” to the poor and to women in our majority female state.

Second trip in a row when I’ve been stuck on the plane because of some tomfoolery here at MSY.
