I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.

Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House called No Kings protests “hate America rallies”. Nothing could be further from the truth. These are true patriots exercising 1st Amendment rights to say we do not want dictatorship by Trump. We don’t want unneeded military troops in our cities. We want democracy.

My former neighbor, a renewable energy contracts specialist, got hired by a coal company. When she asked why they cold called her, they said that they were an energy company. Seeing her work there would signal to coworkers that their skills would transfer to RE while the company shut down coal.

New coal leases in the Powder River Basin have been paused after the first one had only a bid for 1/10th of a penny. They are trying to blame previous administrations, but the writing is on the wall. We should be supporting coal workers and communities not doing wtf this clown show is doing.
