Read my new article in @liberalcurrents.com which features the groundbreaking @katmabu.bsky.social and @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social campaigns and my answer to the massive challenge of remerging the progressive political and cultural spheres. It’s hopeful, heavy and is for the nerds.

I am fucking sick of watching Ze begs for treats from a fucking pedophile like a servile cur. Disgusting behavior.
Not seating Adelita Grijalva is a test to see if MAGA can just refuse to seat elected Democrats indefinitely. It is much bigger than Epstein, it is about deciding that elected Democratic politicians aren’t actually allowed to serve.
It’s painfully clear. By refusing to swear in Adelita Grijalva, Speaker Johnson’s covering up Jeffrey Epstein’s global sex-trafficking ring.

Hey GOP: Bring back the House, cancel your health care cuts, reopen the government and release the files.
So if I understand correctly, if you are a football hooligan wanting to wreck shit, but also want to have the UK Prime Minister back you 100% then just say you are from a far right Israeli football club.

It seems stupid, but this one simple trick really works.

Keir Starmer promised a government of service, but that doesn’t mean bowing the knee to corporations making money out of climate catastrophe.

It’s time for Starmer to stop cosying up to polluters and put people first.

How has the government got itself into the position of standing up for Israeli football hooligans, while criminalising peaceful supporters of Palestine Action?

Also, ayo @jay.bsky.team and the BlueSky team, if you’re gonna permaban Link and Palestinian aid accounts, it’s not a good look if you also don’t ban government accounts engaged in obvious violations of the Hatch Act, which is an actual federal law.

The first thing the State Dept account did here was threaten to use Bluesky posts to strip people of visas and investigate non citizens.

That's a real threat against every Bluesky user and it's absurd the account isnt banned yet.

if you cannot ban government accounts the rules aren't real. any dipshit can end up in charge of government accounts.

In brief, this is simple:

The military has no authority to detain the survivors of its latest strike for the same reasons it had no authority to target them in the first place:

No armed attack = No viable self defense claim = No targeting or detention authority

To belabor the point, the Trump administration is invoking a variety of make believe emergencies to unlawfully claim various wartime authorities—both at home and abroad.

Just because they say it, don’t make it so.
Welcomed the opportunity to appear on @cbsnews.com (alongside my elder son’s art) to discuss the latest U.S. strike in the Caribbean.

The Trump administration is using a make believe armed conflict as a basis to kill people.

Will it also use a make believe armed conflict as a basis to detain?
Like literally been hobbling around for a week cause the pain is so severe in my joints.
Having chronic illness is not fun. Wouldn’t recommend.

Cops led us into the street as the new “protest zone” and then beat us repeatedly.

Got hit in the face with a baton. Leaving to pick up my friends who were arrested.

Stay safe out there.

This is literally what the Canadians and American did to indigenous kids by shipping them off to residential schools. Anyone who cannot draw the basest of parallels and see that Russia has been committing genocide against Ukrainians since 2014 shouldn't be allowed in polite society.

They are persecuting children for their language. And don’t you dare say this isn’t genocide.

There's literally no reason for Congress to exist if any random freak in the presidential orbit can nullify laws and seize federal funds. All of this is plainly illegal, but Mike Johnson leads the most corrupt Congress in US history (and by a wide margin.)

‼️ this is one of the reasons why the Musk shutdown of USAID broke me, like

Congress said 'we're allocating these funds to save lives'

a random asshole with too much money and unresolved bitterness about the end of Apartheid said 'no you're not'

so the funding disappeared??

and people are dying??

now andy is posting photos & full name for the person he says “rented the Antifa riot supply U-Haul” — again, that uhaul was for picking up items they were entitled to recover after rapid response took them. not riot supplies. if they were riot supplies, someone (other than ICE) would be rioting!!
that little creep nick is lying his ass off again. there’s food, water, tarps, inflatable costumes, a couple grills. comfort items for people hanging out outside in the fall in the Pacific Northwest.
