I’m proud to mark the launch of the Orbit Clipper - the UK’s first fully electric cross-river passenger ferry.

This is a great new transport option for Londoners: cleaner and greener than its predecessor, providing more accessible journeys across the river for far more people.

I understand that mailing lists are an important way to build up business but I can't help people understand that I literally do not need 8-15 emails per week from the box company about buying boxes.

Most probably don’t realise that before Thatcher 42% of people lived in council housing - now it’s only 6%. There is a housing crisis and over 300,000 are homeless as a result of her policies. The damage she did to this country is immense and irreversible yet she is viewed by so many as an icon.
I’ve never understood the adulation people have for Thatcher. She was a heartless monster who asset-stripped an entire country and squandered the money to buy votes. The idea that she was some sort of economic genius is farcical and the terrible state of the country today is her legacy.

He's (falsely) accused Canada of the same. Starmer still went on the record and said that the US is his top priority and not Canada. I'm glad that Canada is forging closer relations with the EU.
Trump, the War Machine. Tonight he signalled a major shift in US policy: land strikes will target cartels and any nation tied to drug trafficking.

The breathtaking malicious, petty cruelty of this. Shame on them, shame on the person harassing them with legal action, shame on every bad faith actor who has contributed to this now years-long obsession with trans women and girls. Shame on them all.

As I have noted before, almost half of everyone ever born died in childhood. There are people alive today who were already alive when this stopped being true for everyone born in the future.

All of pre-20th-century history is an emotional foreign country, for this reason alone.

This reminds me that just last week the BBC had a whole piece on how the mild and temperate UK feels colder than Canada (it obviously doesn't). Drama about relatively bland UK weather, yes the whole UK, is so funny.

Our dog thinks he's supposed to protect us or something so he does bark when someone he doesn't know comes to the door. But sometimes he's too lazy to get so while he's belly up with his tongue dangling he says woof? Woof? Then goes back to sleep.
