Good on nation.cymru for standing their ground!

What I honestly don't get is how Reform could have any leg to stand on considering what the rightwing press publishes against the left. Surely that should act as jurisprudence.

Any media experts to weigh in?

This is how the far right should be covered and analysed

Not focusing only on the words or actions of one man but by looking at wider societal trends, the role of the mainstream and of course accounting for power

This is not (just) opinion, it's necessary analysis

I am of course inclined to focus on the weapon's grade levels of inhumanity, cruelty, discrimination and racism involved in Labour's current policies, but on a purely practical level, they will utterly cripple the country, trash higher ed, the NHS, business etc, meaning everyone suffers.

Okay, fairly obvious, but, despite delusions of some, the UK is not a "main destination" for migration. It's actually a competitive market, jobs, students etc. Between Mahmood's, effectively xenophobic policies, and Reeve's budget targeting international students, the economy as a whole gets screwed

As he described his ordeal, Mayor Ihor Terekhov gave him his jacket.

I feel - in my gut reaction - that raiding the purses of international students to fund UK students is not a solution and is just a junkie slapping their vein in anticipation of a fix

Le Monde encouraging the left in France to focus on immigration to counter the far right

This has always backfired (including in France) but I'm sure it will work this time...

(Worth noting, it is also an incredibly lazy attempt too)

The assassination attempt on Gretchen Wittmer is a great example. Her behavior has markedly changed and she even was boosting Trump tariffs at one point pre election.
Political scientists don’t really think about threats of violence as a constraint on elected officials but we really need to be thinking about it this way

Cracks me up how you could just replace Venezuela and Venezuelans with Iraq and Iraqis and it’d be indistinguishable from something written in 2002

Full text of European counter-proposal to the Trump-Putin’s Ukraine surrender plan. It is unfortunately only marginally better.
November 23, 2025 at 8:33 PM
The counterproposal still gives Russia Territory, G8 membership, trade deals, business deals, investment, and does nothing to limit the Russian military but does Ukraine.

This is a shit deal and Russia will reinvade before decade’s end with this plan. Not that it will ever happen.

This story made me breakdown crying halfway through. The cruelty, the vial eugenics testing, the racism, it is awful and a reminder of the cruelty of Mette’s Denmark.
Denmark routinely and painfully steals children from Inuit families in Greenland, utilizing ridiculous parenting tests such as asking "Who is Mother Teresa?" and observing the mother playing with a doll.

This article is heartbreaking.
