I was Eastlake. We actually had 1 Trump supporter there too who was quite polite and open to discussion.

My big takeaway was we were the perfect peaceful protest to counter the Trump Administration lie that we're all violent nut jobs.

Yes. Also, what followed after 9/11 was easily the 2nd worst legislation in our country's history, that being The Patriot Act. We ceeded all kinds of power, privacy, and security in the name of 'protection' and all we got was a more oppressive government.

Also very true. Iraq and Afghanistan both came from W's administration. Things likely would have been very different under a Gore administration. Not guaranteed better, but certainly different.

I wasn't referring to the cascade effect so much as the direct elimination of the power of the individual vote. People cannot compete with corporations.

The hypothetical of what might have followed Bush v Gore are certainly valid concerns.

To be honest, the press needs to do the same with the White House. Just stop showing up. Stop covering the POTUS at all. He craves/needs attention more than anything in the world. If he's ignored, he'll completely lose his mind.
