There's some imported nonsense from the US amongst some crazy right-wing people but it doesn't seem to have a real foothold on the politics here and it isn't a talking point I've heard come up prominently amongst even right wing politicians.

Dancer in the Dark is an excellent film but it's brutally depressing in a way that never left me. One viewing was more than enough, though I have rewatched some of Bjork's musical numbers.

Watching The First Wives Club is making me miss when people were allowed to be this camp and heightened in a non-cartoony film. Today I feel like everyone would have to play this very grounded/restrained. There's emotional truth here but everyone is also playing for the back row and it's glorious.
