I just do not know why you’re all confused about why The Children aren’t alright. My 8 yr old thinks all the time about how he would save his classmates. Do you think that’s doing good and healthy things to developing brains because I think probably not!

I've also completely changed my mind on this. In principle, I still agree with the option. But reading stories like "insurer will pay for assisted dying but not for the treatment." And "hey don't you want to leave your loved ones a bit of money, the longer you draw it out the less will be left."?
I was ALL IN on this idea back when because as someone with severe health problems, a deep fear of mine has always been being made to live past when I want to.
However, after seeing/hearing/reading about its abuses in CANADA ffs....
It's a no from me until EVERY SINGLE PATIENT OFFERED IT...

Each semester I go in my classroom and I try to figure out what we would use to block the doors, if it would be safe to crawl out the windows, where we could hide if there was a mass shooter in campus. It’s such an indictment of this country how we have normalized these preventable tragedies.
