Also finished watching Castlevania Nocturne S2. Astoundingly good stuff. These shows really make something big out of otherwise minor characters.

I can see why they skipped over Simon. No anything but him to pull from in his time, really.

I have this pitiful old DVD shelf that really just serves to hold games currently in rotation and the rest go in boxes. Need a better system.

Went about setting up the TV and all current hardware in the living room. It’s not really ideal, but i haven’t moved all my stuff back in, either.

Still nice to play PS5 and Switch 2 or watch movies bundled up in a coffee house sofa, though. I need serious bookshelves for all my games and books.

You really only see the characters move about the station or sit in the cockpit of the mech. They move like sexed up tanks. Like, there’s a real lack of care for how wooden the movement on the tutorial station is, yet you have the reflexes of a cat in these mechs.

On MechaBreak there was a variety of boob and butt scalers, like the sort you might see for eyebrows, eyes, noses, chins, jawlines or mouths in other games.

Except MechaBreak doesn’t care to have the scalers for any of those facial features. But you can have longer legs and decide where knees sit.

I got my hands on the PS3 versions of 2 and 3, though I understand 2 was rebuilt due to lost source code and this was back around when Konami stopped caring how things went to retail.

Naraka Bladepoint… nah, hated it before I got through the tutorial.

Farlight 84. Good performance, but otherwise kinda meh.

PUBG. No controller support on PC in current year? Hard pass.

MechaBreak. Okay, but not what I’m looking for. Also why give my character a huge ass if she’s flying a mech?

With a game like this is, sure, I can just drop it. I have (an unspeakable number of) other games. That’s easy for me.

But this is also a different situation than Hogwarts. For some folks, there are no other games besides Fortnite, so they may clutch even harder.

Halo made me develop a quirky playstyle of driving vehicles into deeply impractical areas and succeeding anyway.

I spent the last Fortnite season finding ways to refuel buses inside OXR bases not intended for driving, but they put gas pumps in there for the plane, soo… vroom vroom.

I’m open to suggestions on multiplayer stuff. I think why Fortnite clicks well with me is mostly the freedom to explore a vast, evolving place with random loot pickups and big dumb vehicle physics like Halo.

This also means I’ll return to not shutting up about Rivals and FFXIV instead, and likely find another multiplayer fix. Helps my TV and PS5 are back in the apartment.

I’m two seasons behind on Rivals rewards and like three FFXIV updates behind as well.
