Pharmaceutical cos set up programs to help people on very expensive meds afford them, and insurance cos said "sure, you can pay for it, but it can't actually reduce the patient's cost lol. We get extra $$ now." Disability poverty is a policy choice

The no bills in federal grand juries are heartening but I don't think we should be jumping straight to "juries are anti-fascist"! Yes, it's great to see an institution that typically rubber stamps prosecutors not doing that, but it isn't happening bc of the nature of grand juries but in spite of it

Welp. I was so excited to finally have finished knitting a sweater sleeve in half fisherman's rib. Only to look at the pattern and realize I was supposed to decrease every inch, and didn't decrease at all. Now to agonize: to redo, or to not redo?

For some reason thinking about when I went to Russia in college & my prof took us to Lenin's tomb. The military guarding his body wouldn't let you stop walking to really look at him/the body. For how proud they were that this was the "real Lenin" they sure don't want visitors looking too closely
