One of the most disturbing things about the U.S. government getting themselves into the anti-vaccine game is that it is a time-release poison pill.

It will take a few years before the worst of the harm is visible to enough people that they will truly understand what has been done to them.

This was always the most baffling thing to me. You think what people want to use VR for is…meetings? Bro, just sink that money into improving video and audio quality for telework and corner that market
all the demos were like "look at this fantastical world where you can DO ANYTHING...like sit in a conference room! Go to a meeting!" no thanks I already have to attend teams meetings while sitting in a cubicle in a physical office building, id rather not add another asinine layer to this experience

I believe strongly anymore that it is the responsibility of every denizen of the Internet to keep it cool, human, and to make it weird wherever possible. The past days of the computer being cool might be behind us, but that doesn't mean that we can't carve out cool niches today, imo

Let me just say: I have run more than a dozen marathons and an ultramarathon and I have worked 13-hour days in a cornfield in the scorching-ass sun, and none of those things broke me like breastfeeding.

It’s not a question of will. I am a determined person. Sometimes your body just WONT DO IT.

Disabled people do not owe you their medical history.

They do not owe you their diagnosis.

They do not owe you an explanation.

Benefits are exceedingly hard to get and the process is punishing & dehumanizing.

No one is doing it for fun.

If you don't want anyone calling your occupation of millions of people "apartheid," end the occupation.

If you don't want anyone saying you're committing genocide, don't.
