I’ve capacity for two more commissions this year - all the books you/your partner has read this year, in miniature, in an antique upcycled book.

If this of interest, please do make contact!

A book is not a luxury item.

(It can be, but so can food.)

Books are both amazing and cheap.

After all my years, I'm still thrilled by a new book.

Even a bad book is full of potential before you read it.

Read* more books. You'll see what the fuss is all about.

Lovers of books as objects, have you seen this?

THE BOOK: THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO REBUILDING CIVILISATION

I'm gonna buy it just for the art, but it's a lovingly crafted object. Part encyclopaedia, part Armageddon journal.

I suspect I'll kick myself later if I don't get it now.

Sarah is watching the BBC series "King And Conqueror" about Harold Godwinson and the Battle of Hastings. I love the way that every episode, James Norton has a comic plotline where he is in danger of hurting his eye in some way, as a foreshadowing of his final ocular assault. It's like Chekhov's Eye.

For maths, there seems to be a focus on securing fundamentals, with a new diagnostic assessment in Y8 and a new post-16 qualification for those who struggled with GCSE being the highlights.

My blog detailing the impact on secondary maths will be out soon.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.
