This administration seems unmoved by art.

There is no Shakespeare in their language, no Baldwin in their conscience, no Springsteen on their radios, no Swift in their playlists.

And when leaders feel nothing for beauty, it’s the soul of a nation that suffers.

The solutions proposed for New Zealand's (and virtually every other country's) problems are always like:
"We need to make people work for more years"
"We have to cut back on services, I'm sorry, there is just no other way"
"We have to cut benefits for young people"

never:
"We need to tax the rich"

That is different from what the admin said. They claimed it was coming out of DOD R&D funds. Tariff money cannot be touched by the Trump Regime without congressional approval.

140 billion ICE budget.
No screams about how we will pay for it.
Republicans find police state no questions asked.
But if you take a map of poverty and a map of crime I is the exact match.
140 billion is enough to fund ending homelessness for a decade.
That would do more to curb crime

Please remember that "that's illegal" is a *description*, not a *conclusion*.

The law PROHIBITS people from doing things. It does not PREVENT people from doing things. "Illegal" does not mean "impossible." "Illegal" means "on a list of actions the government can, but is not required, to punish."

Now an election denier owns the voting machines. Remember this name. Liberty Vote says its actions will be in “compliance with (Drumps) executive order”

THIS is why the GOP does not care.
They think the fix is in and they will never lose.
How the hell do we fix this?

The fact that “antifa” is literally nothing more than concept of anti-fascism and people treat it like it’s an organization is hilarious and on par for fascist cowards.

Peter Thiel sees Watchmen and One Piece as prophecy:

Ozymandias = antichrist,
Luffy = Christ,

and somehow humanity’s fate hinges on manga pirates.

Billionaire takes fictional comics way too seriously.

thiel, man, what the fuck are you talking about

He describes the plot of Watchmen, a 1986 graphic novel involving superheroes grappling with moral questions about humanity against the backdrop of impending nuclear war:

The antihero Ozymandias, the antichrist-type figure, is sort of an early-modern person. He believes this will be a timeless and eternal solution – eternal world peace. Moore is sort of a late-modern. In early modernity, you have ideal solutions, ‘perfect’ solutions to calculus. In late modernity, things are sort of probabilistic. And at some point, he asks Dr Manhattan whether the world government is going to last. And he says that ‘nothing lasts forever.’ So you embrace the antichrist and it still doesn’t work.

Thiel later finds biblical meaning in the manga One Piece, discussing how he believes it represents a future where an antichrist-like one-world government has repressed science. He believes that the hero, Monkey D Luffy, represents a Christlike figure.

In One Piece, you are set in a fantasy world, again sort of an alternate earth, but it’s 800 years into the reign of this one-world state. Which, as the story unfolds, gradually gets darker and darker. You sort of realize, in my interpretation, who runs the world and it’s something like the antichrist. There’s Luffy, a pirate who wears a red straw hat, sort of like Christ’s crown of thorns. And then towards the end of the story, transforms into a figure who resembles Christ in Revelation.

Thiel, along with a researcher and writer at Thiel Capital, explored these ideas at greater length in an essay for the religious journal First Things earlier this month.

Bondi and others present Antifa as an organized, violent “terrorist” force.

But real analysts and experts treat “Antifa” as a loose, decentralized ideology or movement, not a centrally directed organization, which is exactly what it is.

The gap between framing and structure is a critical one.👇

There is no reliable public data to support that magnitude of increase.

NPR: ICE thugs with badges say assaults on them are up sharply since June. The White House hysterically claims assaults are up “1,000%”. There is no evidence whatsoever that these wild claims are true.
