every ruling out of chicago is like, "federal judge rules ICE agents cannot desecrate graves; must not deploy nuclear weapons against journalists and faith leaders."

ALONG WITH… ninja gym is kind of doing a restart of tai chi classes beginning Thursday, and while I have been paying for a membership all year I haven’t gone SINCE JANUARY and so am planning to go.

HOWEVER, I’m also doing an in-person presentation for work immediately prior lmao.

I have got to get my ass to bed earlier, AND, I am consuming way too much sugar, like my teeth and stomach and throat are all kinda like: hey, fuck you for doing that.

These are now my goals for the week! 😤

Daily bunny no.3107 doesn't need a kitchen
A bunny in the wilderness cooks a stir-fry over a portable stove. It is evening, and he's hung up a tarpaulin nearby for a campsite. A chipmunk and a raccoon wait eagerly for their food.

A very different experience from my dad’s Italian ancestors, who were very: we live in America now and you will speak English, period.

As my mom once pointed out: these ethnic groups were able to decide for themselves because they lived in ethnic enclaves in Chicago where no one cared.

This was a lot because my mother’s grandparents only spoke Bohemian, so while she had relationships with them, they couldn’t talk to each other.

I just backed The Witch of Prague, from Homeward Books! I am half Bohemian/Czech but woefully ignorant about the history and culture. Reading something set during Prague Spring that involves fighting authoritarianism sounds great rn.

The Witch of Prague, from Homeward Books!
Splendor over mediocrity. Stories for the hot bath & the cold plunge. Defying the constraints of genre & delving deep into your heart.

Honestly very impressed by Newsmax, the Washington Times, and the Washington Examiner.

They deserve credit precisely because they’re standing up for journalistic principle notwithstanding their ideological inclination.

Editors and reporters say they’ll continue to cover the US military thoroughly, with or without press credentials. Some well-known members of the Pentagon press corps have used the credentialing controversy to encourage tipsters to get in touch with them.

Reps for CNN, Reuters, The AP, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic and NPR all say that journalists from their newsrooms are not signing the new paperwork about Pentagon access. Newsmax says it doesn't intend to sign, either — a potentially significant sign of MAGA dissension.

my therapist: sometimes you simply have to experience an emotion instead of thinking about it
me, nodding sagely: and then it goes away
therapist: well not necessarily
me, shaking my head furiously: no, I don't like that

Me: I just don't understand why I can't just out-think my anxiety and emotions and simply react and respond in the most ideal way every single time and never feel bad

That we saw such a quick reversal does arguably support that this might have been a technical issue as they stated, but like I said before, the fact that CR's PR has been so rough lately that it's hard to take anything they say at face value is its own massive problem

...Huh. So I kinda noticed it this morning when watching an episode of My-Dress Up Darling, and assumed it was just a carryover from that show predating this season, but I'm watching ep of of Plus-Sized Misadventures and it looks like CR has fully returned to using Aegisubs

A good friend died, and while I’m having normal everyday tweet-thoughts, I just don’t feel like posting them.

Tell your friends you love them just because you can and bc they’re well enough to understand you; be generous with anything you have to offer. Love people.

if we'd treated their obvious baldfaced lies and deflections more like this over the past eight years maybe we wouldn't be in this situation

shocking how easy it is when you actually see it done

STEPHANOPOULOS: I didn't insinuate anything. I asked you whether Tom Homan accepted $50k as was heard on an audio tape recorded by the FBI in September 2024. You did not answer the question. Thank you for your time.

VANCE: No, George, I sai--

STEPHANOPOULOS: We'll be right back

Most parents will not know, initially, what's happening, but! the subset of parents-of-kids-who-use-accessibility-services are, overall, more organized than the entire universe

To get right + proper accessibility services for a disabled student?Pretty likely you had to fight the school system

If any child in your life has an IEP or 504 plan:

Trump fired (we think) all of the employees in the office at the US Department of Education that disburses special education funds from the federal government that school districts use to pay for those plans.
