Where is everyone getting their fabric from online now? My local store is almost entirely quilting cotton, and it's lovely, but their selection of apparel fabrics is dismal at best.

“Have Yourself A Merriam Little Christmas”

Merriam, a career-oriented lexicographer from the city, returns to her small town for the holidays and meets Webster, a ruggedly handsome librarian, who shows her the true DEFINITION of Christmas.

I still want a Benoit Blanc audiobook reading of Dante’s Inferno (Longfellow translation, of course), but this will do for the moment.

*the horrors persist, but so do cucumbers*

HEY KIDS, WANNA WORKSHOP AN ASIAN CUCUMBER JAR SALAD WITH UNCLE KEVIN?

Most of these I’ve seen online are for huge cucumbers and intended for multiple folks, but what if it’s just you? Can we do a single serving for funsies? LET’S TRY.

There are a ton of spambot/scammer comments going around on AO3 (and elsewhere). If you get spurious accusations of using AI/generally being evil, or someone vaguely proposing a collaboration of some kind, or an odd-sounding fan art offer, check around to see if it's scam. Then report!
AO3 authors: If you get a spambot comment on a story, AO3 has a specific reporting path that lets them get rid of your spammer in hours rather than weeks. Turns out that following these steps REALLY WORKS.

First, here's the link with nice context:

I'm proud of this podcast and especially of this final episode. I feel like we went out with a bang!
It's our last episode! We're so grateful to everyone who's listened to us for the past 7 years.

We're using this occasion to talk about the state of science fiction and fantasy in the 21st century — and what has shaped the stories we've loved.

I'm old.

If you're not, listen to this.

Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.

Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.

It's literally never been more important.

You can make art.

The biggest step isn't getting good at art, it's being willing to make art that doesn't match the idea of "good art" in your head.

Making a lot of imperfect art is an essential step toward making perfect art; a counterproductive goal you shouldn't have anyway.

Just make art.

I attempted to do a bulk promotions delete before I turned off all the smart BS in my gmail, and it just...didn't work. Sometimes there's a lag, but it just did not go through this time. Luckily, I have enough spite to fuel me while I unsubscribe and delete it all manually.
