Another factor for me in visiting was that Chinese gardens seem to be harder to find in the US than Japanese gardens, at least where I've lived/traveled. I hope you have a good time if you go!

My own home is extremely sparse because I have so much other in-game stuff I'm still working through. I guess that's not really a bad thing.

Housing in GW2 is still new, but people are doing fun things with it. And I'm OK missing out on some of the cool features of FFXIV's system given that there's no monthly fee to have/keep a homestead 😅

Yeah, a lot of times I think "footnote it once and then go on" is the best choice, but I get why a/v productions tend not to go that route

(tbh I'm not sure if 闷 in 闷油瓶 means stopped up/sealed or depressed/melancholy/bored but regardless, 闷油瓶 seems difficult to translate satisfyingly into English. I couldn't tell you which choice is best. Nicknames are difficult even when the language barrier is less intense, IMO)

There's a character in a Chinese series who's often referred to as 闷油瓶 mènyóupíng (something like sealed oil can) bc of his silence/lack of affect. I've seen this TL'd as Pokerface, Stuffy, or Deadpan. Recently I watched another version of the story, which subbed it as

assuming you don't live where my parents lived, anyway (In that region your choices are generally Walmart Supercenter, Walmart Neighborhood Store, or Aldi)

Of course, it really depends on what each person tends to buy. BUT...since the last 4 years and recent months have caused wildly varying price hikes, if money is a concern and you have time, it's worth revisiting the prices at different stores if you haven't done so in a while

I know most people are convinced that Wegmans is super expensive all the time but I just priced an item and it's $15.49 at Wegmans vs $18.99 at Costco
