Business in Parliament is running a little late, but the debate on extreme waiting times at Scotland's gender identity clinics will be starting in a few minutes. You can watch here: ow.ly/6jjW50XwYn3
This evening I'll be leading a debate in Parliament about the scandal of extreme waiting times at Scotland's gender identity clinics.

The debate starts around 6:10pm, and will be live on the Scottish Parliament website.

This is definitely my experience. Issues only arise if someone finds out they are fucking anything deemed 'inappropriate'
And I'm like AHA! He's a fruit fucker.

Men will fuck *anything*

So anyway that's not even the funniest part.

In my experience of emailing Neil Gray, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, who's my MSP he'll respond when it's something they can blame Westminster for (Supreme Court) but I get crickets when it's something actually within his power
Something that should be laid at the feet of Wes Streeting and likewise the SNP dragging their heels in Scotland -

If hormone therapy saves the lives of trans youth, what, logically, does that mean denying that care achieves?
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.

I haven't watched live TV or had a TV license since they ran the trans women are raping lesbians shit
It looks like that BBC page has been updated in the last few minutes, so that's no longer the last sentence. I think part of it has been moved to this paragraph in the middle of the article, and the age is no longer mentioned:

Finding something I'll actually drink in light of a diabetes diagnosis is proving problematic to say the least

Noting when I was severely ill in hospital at 15yrs old I wouldn't drink the electrolyte stuff they gave me 😬

Notable there's not a single anti-trans "women's rights" organisation involved in the new campaign to end the criminalisation of abortion in Scotland.

But there are LGBTQ+ orgs.

It's almost as if one actually cares about women's rights and the other is just a hate campaign.

Can you please explain…

With gender incongruence defined as NOT a psychiatric condition and mental health distress NOT a requirement for diagnosis…

why are your members taking on the assessment of trans kids and asking them this ⬇️

Read the comments. Learn something. STOP.
Cis people, how many times have you been asked to describe how you masturbate, and what you think about when you do, to access healthcare on the NHS?

Every time I think I might just manage to hold my nose and vote SNP, Swinney reminds me that he can’t be trusted. Not with education and DEFINITELY not with women’s fundamental right to healthcare and freedom. I’m a Green Party member but unlikely to have a constituency candidate 😭

There is no context in which grown cisgender adults questioning Trans+ kids and teenagers about their sexual experiences or body parts is acceptable

It’s profoundly inappropriate - and frankly, creepy as fuck

Systemic clinical malpractice is the standard within NHS cis-controlled Trans+ healthcare
"Body Image Scale – Gender Spectrum (BIS-GS) (a horrific tool that asks children to assess how much they hate all their body parts); the ALSPAC Romantic Relations (which in spite of its name asks totally irrelevant and intrusive questions about the sex life of those aged 12-17).

All. Of. This
Ngl, it doesn't feel awesome that so much discourse about policies designed specifically to hurt trans people is about the negative effects it might have on some cis people.

Not cos it's not bad that it will have broader incidental effects but because it should be enough that it will hurt us.

The whole Trial is designed to stop people transitioning under the pretence that being cis is preferable. It breaks my heart for the kids who have to suffer and try to survive what politicians are deliberately doing to them
The trail will involve 220 children.

Meanwhile 3000 another children seeking health care for their gender dysphoria will be placed on an ‘observational’ study.

The old ‘watch and wait’ is how Alice was treated. Although this time there might be someone actually watching, this is not health care.🧵
Puberty Blocker clinical trials to begin
on the NHS

- The trial will involve around 220 children under 16
- Young people will “undergo intensive medical and psychological screening”, including Gillick competency evaluation
- Trial: Group 1 will get PBs straight away vs Group 2, 12 months later
