I was already in the bag for del Toro, but this is an epic retelling, with gorgeous production design and a heartwrenching score from Desplat. Isaac’s Victor skillfully captures the brilliance and arrogance of the character, but Elordi’s Monster is magnificent and the story’s beating heart.
