if you’re not Catholic, let me real quick tell you about the breathtaking audacity of bringing the monstrance with him

a monstrance is a big bedazzled gold ornament with a round glass window in the middle where you put a consecrated wafer, usually the bigger ceremonial one and not the bite-size

Prince Andrew to Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 email:

“I’m just as concerned for you! Don’t worry about me! It would seem we are in this together and will have to rise above it. Otherwise keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon!!!”

Release the Epstein files.

Again, it's very weird how everyone--Democrats, Republicans, media, everyone--just pretends Republicans can't just eliminate the filibuster and past the CR today.
Ted Cruz: Gavin is deliberately lying.

To fund the government takes 60 votes in the Senate. There are only 53 Republicans. We need at least 7 Dems.

We keep voting to open the government. Dems keep voting to shut it down.

@GavinNewsom
knows that. And he’s lying to you.

Fifteen years after one family’s $98,000 second mortgage was canceled, a debt collector showed up demanding nearly $200,000. When the family didn’t pay, the company foreclosed. It wasn’t a mistake. It’s a business model.
How Debt Collectors Spin Riches from Zombie Loans
Bloomberg News obtained a trove of internal records from one debt collector that reveals how the industry uses large bills and threats of foreclosure to blindside homeowners across the US.

Israel is retaining control of 58% of the Gaza Strip, including the majority of its farmland in eastern Gaza.

Western Gaza was largely built on top of sand dunes, as you can see from the aerial image in the post below.
ISRAEL'S WAR ON GAZA
Israel's withdrawal to the 'yellow line'
In the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan, Israel is set to withdraw its troops to the agreed 'yellow line' within 24 hours, after which a 72-hour period will begin for the handover of Israeli captives.

This aerial image from the 1960s shows that the 'yellow line' of Israel's redeployment in Gaza is roughly matching with the border of the area's coastal sand dune, leaving Gaza without the absolute majority of its agricultural areas on the fertile soils in the east.

Layoff crucial CDC folks on Friday, claim it was a mistake and rehire some on Saturday, blame "Schumer and radical Dems" on Sunday news shows. We see you. 👀

Well now this round of CDC layoffs and immediate recall sure looks like a stunt timed for Sunday news shows. (And their logic makes no sense, of course.) Shameful.

Fair point. When I send invoices for freelance pieces, I'm often asked to include whether I prefer to be paid through direct deposit, a paper check, or cold hard cash in a Cava bag at a pre-arranged drop site.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Did Tom Homan give the $50,000 back?

VANCE: He did not take a bribe. It's a ridiculous smear

STEPHANOPOULOS: You didn't answer the question

VANCE: Did he accept $50,000? I'm sure that in the course of Homan's life, he's been paid more than $50k for services.

(So, no, he didn't)
