SHAME ON YOU

Once a program of truth and integrity...now caved to the most corrupt potus in history.

Ed Bradley, Andy Rooney, Morley Safer, Harry Reasoner, and Mike Wallace would be outraged

Bari Weiss is the logical endpoint of corporate media. This is what happens when people who hate journalism are in charge of it. The only way journalism works is when it’s independent from the power it’s supposed to hold to account, which means ownership can’t have anything to do with those in power

Wishing you peace and hope on this Winter Solstice night.

It’s still a beautiful old world if you look for wonder.

Winter Solstice hitting a bit hard with the dark and all? #ArtAdventCalendar has you covered
For #ArtAdventCalendar Day 21 our winter solstice: This is a linocut print with collaged Japanese washi papers of a procession of Kolędnicy, or Kolęda carollers through the woods to honour the sun at Winter Solstice. The tradition, also known as Koliada or kolędowanie, dates to pre-Christian times 🧵

Crow is our friend. She has a damaged wing, but can fly, and has come back to nest in the area, and hang out in our yard, for the last few years.
She’s getting a drink and is showing off the subtle iridescence that crow feathers have!

This is such an important point; Smith's UCP are enablers of separatism; there is no other way to explain Bill 14.

I signed! And every Canadian who knows all Canadians deserve human rights should also sign.

No government, provincial or federal, should be allowed to limit human rights based on extremist religious or political ideas that most people don't even believe in. #CdnPoli #CanPoli #AbPoli
Canadians, sign this petition to stop the use of the Notwithstanding clause against trans Canadians.

This is about provinces denying human rights, because trans rights are human rights.

SIGN.

I'm not so easily shocked these days, but it might actually be shocking that the vice president of the United States is as violently, smugly, publicly racist as he is.

I started reviewing the Alberta Next report by looking at their polling results.

The numbers in the sample table don't add up.

Can anyone make it make sense?

If not, I'm not sure how we take the analysis seriously.

Hey JK Rowling! Daughter A sold her Canadian first edition collection of Harry Potter books. She's donating the money to a Transgender org fighting the Alberta govt's anti-human rights laws. Guess she learned 1 good thing out of your books: The need to fight evil people like you.

Unless I missed it somewhere, I don't see any details about the Alberta Next survey methodology.

This leaves me with a lot of questions.

Was the survey done in-house? Or by a respected provider?

Was the data weighted? Did they use quotas?

The tables and figures were done in Excel. Who produced them and what are their qualifications?

We need these and other answers before we take the Alberta Next numbers seriously.
