It’s several things for me.
I can’t be bothered with the faff of resin printers.

If I were to buy proxies for GW game, it’d be to start a completely new army and I’d want it to not just be “GW knock offs” or “look alikes”.
Fully original designs please. Make “space pirates” or “space cowboys”

I don’t miss getting into arguments with them AT ALL… it felt completely pointless… no opinions were being changed. It was just time spent…

It also seemed like they basically just fuelled off of the discussions… and fuelling them is not something I can bothered doing. I block quickly today.🤭

Hey! I remember him from Twitter! The Black Templar avatar that was my first encounter with the weird “gatekeeper” crowd… I mostly remember him for posting that I was “bold to show my face while being a bully”! It was during the #FacesofWarhammer thing… I remember that ruffled a few feathers. 😆

It’s my 5th game ever… an while I’ve lost a couple of them… each of them have been fun. It’s a great game!

Never got around to throwing him... but my Halfling was an absolute fouling champion in today’s game against a Norse team… caused a Yehtee to end in the injury box and miss next game… amongst other shenanigans!

And with a 2-1 victory I made enough money to buy another Blitzer for the next game! 🤭

I tend to get pretty tired when people discuss - or just talk about - the “science” and technology of 40K as if it were real…

…but briefly entertaining the thought… then that guy definitely would not make it through “the initiation/surgery”… 🤣

4 Blitzers seems to be what everyone was saying, so it’s also how I started the season…

…and then one of them died. And one got injured to the point of being useless and was retired. And then I was undermannned and went with an ogre and a journeyman. Now a Halfling.

Yeah… I have a WW2 sample sprue from Warlord Games and I have been looking at my (almost exclusively 40K themed) bits box… and thought that Stargrave sounded interesting… maybe this could be a fun project… alas… not gotten around to it, and again finding an opponent to play… very tricky… 😒

I don’t have time to try that many games!!! 🤣
Also, I live in a country that doesn’t have that strong of a wargaming culture/tradition… so finding anyone to play a game outside the “GW-sphere“ is
close to impossible unfortunately. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Haha! I bear no illusion of this being a great investment. But I can see that I’m out of the running to win the league, so I thought it’d be fun to use him to sow some confusion and uncertainty (maybe a few fouls)… and just to try odd trick plays.

A counter to my otherwise somewhat vanilla team. 😀

I have considered OPR, but never found anyone willing to try it.

Not too into historicals, and for reasons I can’t quite put my finger on, Battletech doesn’t really do it for me.

I‘m more likely to convince friends to try ”Smallpocalypse” which I’m very keen on trying!

And I play a fair bit of KT

It’s such a peculiar conundrum… 1 game system catering to 2 wildly different player bases with dramatically different interests…

For me personally, I just don’t really bother keeping up. I still use index for armies that have long since gotten codices etc.
